A score that tells the truth about a business.

NIBEX is a first principles business health assessment framework — the first standardised, licensable methodology of its kind at the SME and institutional level.

It produces a single comparable score across eleven dimensions, weighted by sector, with a dereliction protocol that surfaces active legal and compliance failures before they become crises.

Built from first principles. Scored without assumption.

Most business assessments start with assumptions — that the financial picture tells the whole story, that digital presence is the primary risk, that operational problems will surface themselves. NIBEX starts with none of these assumptions.

It works through every dimension of a business systematically — economic position, market context, revenue model, cost structure, stakeholder dependencies, operations, people, customer relationships, digital infrastructure, strategic clarity, and legal compliance — producing a scored sub-element for each, aggregated into dimension scores, weighted by sector, and combined into a single NIBEX score.

The score is comparable across businesses, across sectors, and across time. A score of 58 means something specific. A score that moves from 42 to 67 over six months means something demonstrable.

The dereliction protocol
Any sub-element where a business is in active breach of a legal obligation is flagged as a dereliction. This triggers a ceiling on the affected dimension — no amount of strong performance elsewhere in that dimension can mask an active compliance failure. The ceiling lifts only when every dereliction in that dimension is resolved. A business cannot score its way past a legal breach.
Modular assessment
NIBEX assessments are modular. A Foundations engagement covers the core dimensions. Standard adds economic and strategic layers. Complete covers all eleven. A partial NIBEX score is always clearly notated — showing which dimensions have been assessed and which remain pending. Every assessment is the start of a complete picture, not a compromise.

Every dimension that drives business health.

Sixty-eight sub-elements. Weighted by sector. Scored consistently across every engagement.
